Description

Power young minds with an Hour of Code.

Join up to 400 students from ages 8 to 18 in four cities in BC to learn an Hour of Code at Codecreate, the province's largest coding event for youth! Codecreate is a half day event in your community where students will learn how to code alongside 20+ experienced mentors for free. Students just have to bring their own laptops and an open mind for the event, and we'll take care of the teaching and lunch!

The province-wide Codecreate event series is held in celebration of the Hour of Code, a grassroots global computer science and digital literacy awareness campaign aimed to encourage for tens of millions of students around the world to try an Hour of Code.

Codecreate and the Hour of Code campaign in BC is supported by the Government of B.C. and CUEBC (Computer Using Educators of BC). The Host Partner for the Kelowna workshop is UBC Okanagan's Innovative Learning Centre.
